Canada Global Ranking 2026: Country Named Among the Most Beautiful in the World

You already know that Canada is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, but it’s nice to see that recognized around the world.

Every year, the travel magazine Condé Nast Traveller publishes a list of the most beautiful countries, and Canada is always on it. Last year, the magazine put Canada in the top 40 most beautiful countries. This year, the list has been cut down to just 29, and Canada is still on it.

The magazine says, “As these countries get older, like fine wine, they get more complex and have more and more places to admire. We like to go back to this list every year to show off some new favorites and dust off old classics.”

We chose countries based on the sights that were worth the trip, like UNESCO World Heritage sites, their beaches, and “otherworldly landscapes.

So, what makes Canada the best choice?

Condé Nast Traveller says that there are too many reasons why it made the list, saying that the large country “almost has too many beautiful sites to start picking favorites.”

The magazine does mention Torngat Mountains National Park in Newfoundland and Labrador, though. It talks about the park’s stunning glaciers and fjords, as well as the bears and caribou that live there.

Alberta’s Banff National Park is also praised for its “serene and pristine” beauty. Yukon National Park and Reserve, on the other hand, is known for its “extreme beauty, which includes boreal forests, lakes, and northern wildlife.

Canada has 37 national parks and 11 national park reserves, so if you want to see more natural beauty, you can go to one of these places. The landscapes range from mountains to forests to tundra.

Parks Canada says that Canada has 22 UNESCO World Heritage sites. These include Dinosaur Provincial Park in Alberta, which looks like it came from another world, the Rideau Canal in Ontario, which runs from Kingston to Ottawa, and SG̱ang Gwaay station in B.C., which honors the culture of the Haida people.

Canadians who want to see beautiful things and have fun don’t have to look any further than their own backyards.

Condé Nast Traveller says, “They’re all sure to delight the thrill-seekers and bucket-listers who dare to say bring it on.”

The list also includes China, Australia, Brazil, India, Saudi Arabia, the U.S., Mexico, Colombia, France, Indonesia, Japan, South Africa, Tanzania, Peru, Argentina, Costa Rica, Vietnam, New Zealand, Bolivia, the U.K., Croatia, Iceland, Namibia, Greece, Norway, Turkey, Nepal, and Switzerland.
